Birthday Treat.

                    Sun and Shade   Oils on canvas board  7 x 5 inches   


In 2002 we went to Cornwall for a week to celebrate my birthday.  We took our family and rented a cottage near the coast.  On 13th September we went to Fowey for the day.  This surprise view up a little street was a painter's dream and I quickly took a photo before the sun moved off the white houses.  I painted this on a larger canvas when we returned home and it has been a favourite of mine.  

This new little study was fun to paint and re-visit the scene which first attracted me.
