...and for a change

In between   Oils on board  8 x 8 inches  £ 30

Painting abstracts is something I really enjoy.  I try not to get stuck in one way of painting so changing from reality to imaginative keeps me from stagnating and being repetitive.

I begin with an underpainting to create the first stage of the work, briskly sculpting the transparent paint with a brush and scrubbing in the basic shapes.  When the paint is dry the next stage is partially  destroying the first painting and blocking in with colour to create a new image  .  A 'fictional' landscape.
