Slippery slope.


Thaw   Oils on canvas board  8 x 10 inches

Packed snow on a hillside, slippery from sledging.


Studio Musings...

This little painting was a re-work of an old winterscape.
It went through several changes until I decided it had reached a conclusion.

Quite heavily textured with layers of oils, it reminds me of the winter of 1962/3.
We used to sledge with friends at Ravendale near Grimsby.

The slopes became very shiny with packed snow and ice.

It needed a frame and I found this little old frame in my studio.
A coat of silvery paint and here we are...
