Studio Musings...

Woods and water...some mysterious places.

I abstracted this little study, letting it evolve as I moved the oils around.

A woodland scene began to appear and I scratched the surface

making tree trunks and branches.  The sky was filled in with a knife

sculpting the oils and pressing the colours together to blend a little.

I pulled the same colours down in the water as reflections.

As the work progressed it became quite exciting to see the marks come to life.
