All that glitters.

Golden Dawn   Oils on gessoed 140lb watercolour paper  8 x 12 inches

A shiny start to the day.

Studio Musings...

A change from board to paper for this study.
Gessoed watercolour paper gives a lovely texture and is very strong.
It can withstand a lot of scrubbing and scraping.

Using a fingernail to scrape in places gives an impression of trickling water.

May be framed without glass if preferred as there is a
coat of re-touching varnish to protect the surface.

  1. Just popped in to say how much I enjoyed looking at your paintings in the little gallery on Steep Hill Lincoln. I was thoroughly absorbed. So thought I'd connect. All the best
