New month.

1st July   Oils on canvas board 12 x 10 inches

A warm sky over the shore.

Studio Musings...

A warm underpainting is a great start.
It gives the whole work a glow.

I began with Burnt Sienna, Permanent Rose and Lemon yellow.
Scrubbed on loosely and then rubbed off in places.

The stain gives me ideas of where to take the picture.
This began as a possible landscape but morphed into a shore scene.

This is part of the fun...being willing to change and go with the flow.
